Scratch Wireless WiFi-first wireless service opens

Scratch Wireless first arrived several months earlier when they announced plans to fight the other, "too expensive" cellular service options. They are an MVNO style carrier and will be going on the premise of using WiFi first. Well, while the service first launched as an invite-only offering, they have since shifted and are now open for any and all that wish to check it out.

LG G Flex initial US availability detailed

LG announced the upcoming US availability of the G Flex earlier in the month during CES. At the time LG mentioned the handset would be coming available during the first quarter of the year and with three of the four major US carriers. Those three included AT&T, T-Mobile and Sprint. And as we often see with these types of device announcements, LG basically left everyone waiting for the individual carrier announcements for the specifics.

T-Mobile Uncarrier 4.0 expected to tackle ETF fees

T-Mobile CEO John Legere began teasing Uncarrier 4.0 last week. He hasn't gone into specifics, but did take to Twitter to once again poke at AT&T. Legere touched on how the next phase will be about eliminating "another customer pain point." That leaves quite a bit of room for interpretation, however it looks like some details may have recently been leaked.

AT&T may soon reduce device subsidies

AT&T recently announced some new plans. These new plans favored users with a contract-free device by giving a monthly discount. Moving forward, it looks like AT&T is going to be further changing gears. There has been some recent talk about how they may reduce device subsidies and start shifting customers to a place where they use a device they own, or one they finance.

AT&T announces LTE roaming deal with Rogers in Canada

AT&T has announced a new roaming partnership that should be of benefit for those visiting Canada. The agreement means AT&T users will have access to LTE by way of the Rogers network. But before anyone crosses the boarder looking for LTE coverage, you will need to have the Data Global Add-On package for your account.
