Galaxy Nexus 3-pin car dock works with Verizon model – sort of

Plenty of you disappointed when Samsung's Galaxy Nexus car dock for the Verizon LTE version of the phone turned out to be less of a dock and more of a snugly-fitting piece of plastic. So far Verizon customers haven't been able to take advantage of the three electrical contacts on the left side of the phone at all. Though Google states (emphatically and repeatedly) that the docks on the Google Play Store are for the GSM model only, at least one LTE Gnex owner on XDA got it to work.

HTC One series docks and cases set for pre-order

HTC's One X, One S and One V Ice Cream Sandwich smartphones are easily their most-anticipated in months. While it'll still be a month or more before they start showing up at retail locations in the UK and US, And UK electronics giant Clove is already taking pre-orders. Happily they'll also accept pre-orders for a series of accessories, which Clove has been kind enough to show off for us. The add-ons should arrive with the phones in April. There's a mind-boggling assortmant of cases, docks and screen protectors already - take a gander below.

Galaxy Nexus accessories delayed, Expansys offers car dock January 29th

Ever since the popular Samsung Galaxy Nexus launched we've been waiting for a few awesome accessories from Google and Samsung. We saw a great desktop dock in Hong Kong during the official Nexus unveil, and an impressive car dock that I'd love to buy but sadly none are available. Popular online shop Clove UK has recently updated their blog stating that accessories have been delayed. They aren't the only ones pushing back dates either but we do have some good news after the break.

Real nerds love docks. They make it so much easier to safely use a navigation app in a car, and instantly smarten up any desktop. Google and Samsung gave us a brief look at the desk and car docks for the Galaxy Nexus during the Hong Kong unveiling event, but now UK retailer MobilFun has given them a proper hands-on. They're nothing mind-blowing, but it's good to see that Samsung is going forward with the plans anyway.

I don't know about you guys but from what I have seen Motorola makes some of the better car docks and multimedia docks for our Android phones. My brother loves his Droid X dock and uses it daily mounted nicely on the dash of his Xterra. If you have been trying to decide on if you want the car dock, or the multimedia dock now is your chance to get both. Amazon is offering the DROID2 multimedia station FREE with the purchase of the car dock.
