Samsung Proximity to take on Apple’s iBeacon technology

It has now become a race as to which proprietary technology will be able to revolutionize the way merchants and businesses interact with our smartphones. After Apple announced their iBeacon in the middle of last year, which they said would simplify payments and offers for retailers, there hasn't been much major development from their end, and many consider it still in the initial infancy stages. Blunt umbrellas have teamed up with tag marker company Tile to come up with an umbrella that you will not be able to lose (unless you misplace the tags as well).

Xiaomi steps up its game with a Bluetooth game controller

There should no longer be any doubt that Xiaomi wants in on the fledgling Chinese game biz. The company has now outed its own Bluetooth game controller for, what else, gaming. While the controller seems like a natural evolution of its Mi TV box, it does raise some questions about the future of one popular Android gaming console turned platform.
