Swype 3.0 Beta Released with Honeycomb Support, we go Hands-on

The guys at Swype have just released the latest version of the popular 3rd party keyboard for Android. Many new features are included with this latest beta (v3.0) and some of those include predictive tap as well as Honeycomb support for you tablet users. The tablet version can even be re-sized as well as moved to left, right or center screen for your convenience. We have all seen or used Swype for our phones so I took a few photos using it on my Honeycomb tablet just to show you all.

Android Community App of the Week: TweetCaster HD for Honeycomb

I must say that ever since I got my Motorola Xoom I've been wishing for a good Twitter client on honeycomb. TweetComb first came out and we did a mini review on that. Later it went from being a paid app to free for all. Personally it is nice but it is too similar to Tweetdeck for PC and I didn't like the small size and having all three panels always open. TweetCaster has came to the rescue for all us android tablet users and so far I love it.

Firefox Adds Beta Channel to Android App with 5.0

Mozilla recently released the beta version of Firefox 5.0, and with it they've added the option to install a beta channel of the Android app to the Android Market. The beta channel will be used to debug new features to come at the price of a potentially buggier version of the mobile version of Firefox. This first beta version, now that Firefox 4.0 is officially a stable release on Android, introduces several of the new features also introduced in the 5.0 beta for desktop.

Total Jerk Developer Steals Beta Game He Was Supposed to be Testing, Publishes to Android Market

This is why we can't have nice things. Cripes. A couple days ago, a fellow by the name of cyberniko (this is his name on XDA forums) intended on sending his game out to a small group of developers who where then supposed to take a look at it on their Android devices, let him know how it worked, give him feedback, etc. That happened all fine for the most part, except for one gigantic terrible jerk move on the part of another XDA forum member. This terrible jerk downloaded the unsigned APK of the game, signed it himself, and submitted it to the Android Market just as if it were his very own game. Evil.
