Samsung already has the "Experience Shops" in Best Buy retail locations, however it appears as if they may be looking to take the relationship a bit further. There has yet to be a firm announcement by either Best Buy or Samsung but report coming from the Korea Times did mentioned how Lee Jae-yong, Samsung’s vice chairman "recently met with senior executives at Best Buy and discussed pending business issues."
Best Buy is planning a weekend sale that will bring some discounts on select Android smartphones. There are a few handsets that will be available during this promotion and they look to be spread between two carriers -- AT&T and Verizon Wireless. Before anyone gets excited thinking there will be deep discounts on handsets such as the GALAXY S 4 or HTC One, we will offer the warning up front as these are older model handsets.
HTC One page on the T-Mobile website hasn't shown anything new for some time now. In fact, it seems to be showing less these days. Gone are the pre-orders and gone is the mention of getting a $100 credit for participating in the HTC One trade-up program. While we had known the AT&T and Developer Edition of the HTC One was set to begin shipping on April 19 -- we now have a date for T-Mobile.
T-Mobile recently had their UNcarrier event which brought the official unveiling of the new plans. These are dubbed the Simple Choice plans and while the are already available with the carrier, they will not be coming to all third-party retailers just yet. We have yet to see a complete breakdown from T-Mobile on when this can be expected, however we do know that they will not be available with Best Buy for a while.
GALAXY S 4 is going to be heavily promoted at Best Buy. According to the details we are seeing, select Best Buy locations will soon begin clearing some space for Samsung mini-stores. Yes, it appears as if Samsung will soon have some dedicated space in the mobile departments. Perhaps even nicer for Samsung, it looks like there will also be some employees getting special training on the GALAXY S 4.
Samsung Galaxy S III on the cheap? This Sunday, Best Buy and Best Buy Mobile has the Galaxy S III on sale for only $99 bucks. This deal applies to all major US carriers such as At&T and Verizon with the exception of T-Mobile. This deal only applies to customers signing a new contract or those eligible for an upgrade. This means you will have to be willing to sign a new two-year agreement to grab this deal. If you are looking to pick up a device without a contract, you will still be looking at full price. Make sure to check with your carrier for upgrade eligibility before you make the treck down to your local Best Buy. The deal is available on Galaxy S III device in Pebble Blue or Marble White. Unfortunately, AT&T's exclusive Garnett Red is not included in the deal. Either way, it's hard to complain about a missing color when you can pick up one of the hottest Android phones on the market for $100 off the normal price. The lack of T-Mobile support seems rather odd, with T-Mobile just announcing that the device is currently its best selling device. Perhaps it was T-Mobile's choice to sit this one out since they are moving so many units of the device to begin with. Either way, this Sunday, October 14, is the perfect time to grab an S III for a great deal. [timeline] [via Talk Android]

Best Buy usually offers pre-orders for big ticket items, and with multiple carriers announcing details this week we knew this was coming soon.
