Qualcomm S4 Pro quad-core developer tablet benchmarks and hands-on

Earlier today we gave you a bit of information on Qualcomm's new Snapdragon S4 Pro developer tablet, but now we're back with more info thanks to a number of benchmark tests SlashGear has performed. As expected, the Snapdragon S4 Pro delivered some really impressive results in the tests, thanks to its quad-core APQ8064 chipset, 2GB of RAM, and Adreno 320 GPU. Since this tablet is intended for developers, you may not be surprised to hear that it performed well in benchmark tests, but we have a feeling that you'll be left at least a little impressed nonetheless.

Droid X Gingerbread gets benchmarked

There's been some benchmarks released of the Droid X running Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) and the results are fairly impressive. The benchmarks were compaired to the previous Android 2.2 (Froyo) results. The tests feature some testing of heavy duty graphics and motion Fx in a game like atmosphere and it received a score of 1796, about a 700 point increase over the Froyo score. That's around a 30% increase in performance. It's amazing what a software update can accomplish.

And that means they can pay attention to more important things like coverage and speed. So who has the fastest network, especially 4G networks, is a burning question. It's also a difficult one to nail down as it depends on carrier, phone and even how loaded the network is.

Samsung Galaxy S: Benchmark Galore

It seems as though they’ve changed their tone not only as far as the Google Phone Store is involved but support for handsets with custom UI’s. Now to the business at hand, the Galaxy S has been benchmarked using various different tools and it performed extremely well.
