Verizon drops DROID RAZR price to $199 sans SD card

Good things come to those who wait. If you waited a few months before buying a Motorola DROID RAZR on Verizon, that good thing is a shiny $100 discount. The 16GB version of the DROID RAZR is now $199.99 on Verizon's website, and should be the same at most corporate stores (though retail and online partners might be a little behind the curve). The 32GB version is now $299.99. The price drop is a little misleading - both models have 16BG of internal memory, but the more expensive one also comes with a 16GB card, which the cheaper version lacks.

So you ran out and snatched up a brand new Samsung Galaxy Nexus last night at your nearest Verizon or Best Buy and love it right? The device comes with a hefty 1,850 mAh battery that should last plenty long but we know there are some that want more. In case you didn't know, Verizon is having a 50% off sale on all 4G LTE devices extended batteries and the Galaxy Nexus in included.

Korean Galaxy Nexus gets a free 2000mAh extended battery

It's a good time to live in South Korea, at least if you're a Samsung fan. After confirming the arrival of an LTE variant of the Galaxy Note, it looks like Samsung is packing the local retail version of the Galaxy Nexus with a free extended battery and the requisite cover. According to SK Samsung mobile blog Naver, the units sold in the country will have two batteries and two covers in the box.

LTE uses a lot of juice - there's just no way around that at present. So it's always nice to see a manufacturer embrace that truth and offer a first-party battery for reliable and worry-free extended use. That said - wow. DROID RAZR Battery is removable, If you dare

When the new Motorola DROID RAZR was first announced we all quickly learned that the battery was not removable. The back of the device was attached for good, making users unable to remove or swap the battery should they choose. This isn't a huge issue but many weren't happy to hear the news. Not to mention the modding and dev community relies on battery pulls somewhat often -- I've had a few of those moments myself. Lucky for us a loyal reader has just received his shiny new DROID RAZR and tore it down himself to find that the back actually does come off, it just takes a little effort.
