Motorola DROID Bionic Battery Life Photos Leak, Looks Decent

Since we still have not seen the actual size of the battery that will come in the Droid Bionic, or how long it will actually last this will do. Someone has been nice enough to leak more than a few photos showing the Bionic on both 4G LTE and 3G at different levels of battery life. While these first pictures look good, they are a little deceiving to say the least.

Wireless Battery Covers for the Thunderbolt, Droid 3, and Revolution Now Available

Inductive battery covers will charge your smartphone and do it wireless. With inductive charger battery covers you simply lay the device on the charging pad and zooooom, battery gets full. We have heard and seen these before and the Thunderbolt cover recently hit store shelves. It looks like the inductive covers for the Droid 3, Revolution and the Thunderbolt are all in stock and available from Verizon.

Motorola Atrix update now official

Well that didn't take long. AT&T has announced that the Motorola Atrix update we reported this morning is now official and out of Beta. Not only that, but there's not one, but two updates. Firmware updates 4.1.57 and 4.1.83 offer improved battery life, multimedia with Bluetooth and other headsets, 2G/EDGE mobile hotspot capability, better data speed, Yahoo e-mail over WiFi and numerous other tweeks. The Atrix display will also now turn off while charging from a wall charger.

HTC Thunderbolt cases streamline protection with extended battery

If you have an HTC Thunderbolt, you know how much of a bulge that extended battery makes in your pocket and how exposed the phone is without a protective case that can accomodate it. Now there's a nice silicone case available that streamlines the look of the phone to make it look far less like a camel hump. The cases were specifically designed with the extended battery in mind and also feature a slit for the Thunderbolt's kickstand, an opening for all necessary ports, and cameras. Unfortunately, though, the Extended Battery Fit Silicone cases are on back order.

HTC Thunderbolt battery life to get extended options

It's no secret that part of the delay of the Verizon HTC Thunderbolt release was do to the challenging battery life of the handset on the 4G/LTE network. In SlashGear's review today, that was never more obvious when solely relying on 4G for average use, the Thunderbolt red barred after less than 3 hours. And even though coupling 4G with WiFi the battery life becomes comparable with other HTC 4G options, clearly something needs to be done. HTC is addressing battery life concerns by announcing they will be selling an optional extended life battery in the near future.

Circle Battery Modification for your Android Based Phone

Oh how little fixes make the world such a nicer place. Oh how I desire a circle battery instead of that old crappy battery-shaped battery. I can have it if I want it?! Oh joyous day! Thank you K! Everyone working with the new ClockworkMod for your Android-based device can take a look at this tiny tweak that makes all the difference: the circle battery. Take a look at the image below to get an idea of what's going on here. This is not an "official" fix, rather something some ingenuitive folks came up with to do away with that ancient icon.

What you’re looking at here is the Lifetouch by NEC. It bears a striking resemblance to the Nintendo DS. This will be a 7-inch Android 2.1 tablet that should make its way into the Japanese market this October.

Samsung responds to Apple, Retina VS AMOLED

At the keynote presentation for the iPhone 4, Steve Jobs took a few shots at other displays for not being as good as the Retina display that is on the new iPhone. Many people took exception to these claims and finally someone has responded to these allegations. Samsung especially says, “The Retina display isn’t that great, AMOLED is better”. Well, this isn’t an exact quote but they are saying something along those lines.
