HTC One (M8) gets Android 4.4.4, HD Voice support from AT&T

The HTC One (M8) may have finally received the Android 5.0 update but that doesn't mean AT&T has forgotten about those units still running the older Android version. The mobile carrier recently rolled out the official Android 4.4.4 KitKat. Those who want Lollipop would have to wait for a bit or upgrade to this version first to receive a number of important performance and security updates.

Samsung Galaxy Note Edge now available from Verizon, AT&T

After some months of waiting, the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge is finally available from Verizon. The phone which others quickly dismiss as experimental is coming to a few mobile carriers in the US. Verizon is offering the Note Edge on a two-year content for only $399. That's still pricey but the unlocked version is $799. Crazy price? That's still cheaper compared to the $1,000 price tag written by AT&T for the same unit.

AT&T now offering rollover data plans for shared subscribers

AT&T has announced that they are launching later this month a rollover plan for their shared data subscribers, giving the option and opportunity for members of the shared plan to take on the unused data from their other members from the previous month.

3G is dead (dying), long live LTE for Verizon?

They said it back in 2011, but now it seems like the start of the slow (and we mean slow) death of 3G is upon us, at least as far as Verizon is concerned. It seems that the carrier has been cannibalizing its old CDMA EV-DO systems to make way for a third distinct LTE network, after launching the first two back in 2010.

T-Mobile hypes virtually pristine version of the Nexus 6

With all the problems AT&T is facing right now with its Nexus 6 phones, it seems timely that T-Mobile is taking time to talk in social media platforms about just how different it is treating its stock of Nexus 6 from other carriers. No branding on the boxes, no branding on the unit itself – a couple of things that T-Mobile did to show just how willing they were for users to have an almost pristine version of the Nexus 6.
