MWC 2014 Global Mobile Awards recipients announced

Probably one of the highlights of each year's MWC is the organizer GSMA's Global Mobile Awards, which is on its 19th run this year. This year's announcement ceremony was brightened up by the comic antics of British actor and comedia James Corden, who played roles in films such as Gulliver's Travels and Three Musketeers.

AT&T and T-Mobile HTC One users getting Kit Kat later this month

HTC had hopes of getting the One updated to Kit Kat within 90 days time. This was referring to the carrier branded models in the US and Canada, but as we learned back towards the end of January -- HTC wasn't going to reach the self-imposed goal. At the time there was talk of a delay of one to two weeks and while the discussion had gone quiet, some updated details have recently been shared.

AT&T donates $100 million in broadband access to educational resources

AT&T is pledging $100 million to aid children in getting an education. Their donation comes in the form of broadband access to various middle-schools and other educational resources, and is meant to aid kids in learning via mobile devices. This compliments other ventures AT&T has made into funding education via technology, and could serve as an entry-level introduction to their Aspire program.
