AT&T had some pretty big news to announce regarding their network upgrades. It has been a while since we've seen an update of this size, and today they confirmed they'll be switching on 35 new 4G LTE markets. With Verizon announcing last week they already hit their goal to have nearly all 3G covered with 4G by the end of 2013, AT&T is turning up the heat.

originally announced the Galaxy S4 Active in early June. Since that point we have seen the handset shown off during the Samsung Premiere event which took place a few days earlier. We managed to spend a few minutes of hands-on time with the handset during that event, however that was just the start of our experience with the Active. We received an AT&T branded Galaxy S4 a short while back and as such we have been able to spend a bit more time playing around -- and yes, that includes testing the device in water.
AT&T has once again returned with some news on the 4G LTE expansions. This time around the new LTE coverage is coming for those in a handful of markets across six states. Those six states include Arkansas, California, Georgia, Minnesota, North Dakota and Ohio. Basically, if you happen to have coverage available -- now seems like a good time to make sure you have an LTE handset at the ready.
one day after the last LTE expansion news, AT&T has dropped word of another expansion. This time around we are seeing coverage expand across nine states. The amount of coverage will vary from state to state, however this latest list includes Arkansas, Arizona, Illinois, New Jersey, North Carolina, Minnesota, Ohio, Oregon and South Dakota.
previous 4G LTE expansion news, AT&T has announced new coverage for those in Pennsylvania and New York. The Pennsylvania coverage is limited to just one market, however the New York coverage is a bit more widespread for today. Of course, the way AT&T has been expanding the 4G LTE network over the past few months, even if your city is not yet live -- it may be soon enough.
AT&T has announced the latest 4G LTE expansions. This time around we are seeing new and expanded coverage spreading across 13 states. The list includes Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Idaho, Indiana, Michigan, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Ohio, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Utah and Washington. Perhaps even nicer, some of these states have multiple markets seeing the new coverage.
AT&T have announced a slew of new locations and cities that will be getting their blazing fast 4G LTE network upgrade. AT&T GoPhone users can now get access to 4G speeds. This includes AT&T's HSPA+ and LTE networks, though it is provided the user has a supported handset. For now AT&T appears to have this aimed at those who already have a capable device and simply want to avoid signing a contract on something new. These new speeds are available at this time and will be available with the $65, $50 or $25 per month plans.
few days after the previous expansion, AT&T has announced the latest for the 4G LTE network rollout. The last time around brought good news for those in select cities of Kansas, Missouri and Texas and as of today it looks like new and expanded coverage has arrived for those in seven states as well as in Puerto Rico.
AT&T has announced their latest 4G LTE expansion. While this roll-out doesn't include as many markets as the last go around, there is probably something to be said for the timing as this update has arrived less than a week after the last. This latest bit is dealing with five markets across Kansas, Missouri and Texas.
