Motorola ATRIX 4G AT&T Presale Starts February, Releases March

It's been revealed in the Wall Street Journal with AT&T Mobility Chief Executive Ralph de la Vega that the ATRIX 4G will be going on presale with AT&T starting on February 13th (right at the beginning of Mobile World Congress 2011, which Android Community will be attending.) Furthermore, the WSJ revealed that the release date for the ATRIX 4G is set for March 6th. The phone will be priced at $199.99 with a two-year agreement, and $499.99 if you purchase the phone with the laptop dock at the same time.

Atrix HD Multimedia Dock Retailing for $59?

The Atrix 4G is a device that is going to be highly focused on accessories. Whether it's the laptop dock or multimedia dock, the device is not just a cellphone, it's a mobile computer. And now, according to a listing on, it seems the HD multimedia dock will retail for $59.

Motorola Atrix 1080p Video Capture Capability to be Added Post-Launch

As we near the official launch of the Motorola Atrix 4G, rumors and speculation are pouring in about the supposed features of the device. One of these is that the devices 1080p video capture will not be supported until after it’s launched. For those who remember at CES the device was said to be able to capture 720p, but its processor could definitely handle 1080p, so why the wait?

Costco Also Lists Motorola Atrix 4G at $149

Costco has followed Amazon's lead and has listed the Motorola Atrix for only $149.99. According to a captured Costco inventory screen, we see the Motorola Atrix 4G for AT&T listed at the ultra-low 2-year contract price.

Goodbye, CES 2011 – It’s been fun

So CES 2011 has wrapped up and the tech industry is about to go back into their day-to-day happenings. First off: what a week, the SlashGear and Android Community team has been incredibly busy, and although we have seen plenty of innovation and groundbreaking announcements for the 2011 calendar year, we’re glad it’s over. We can all agree that this was the year of 4G, Superphones, and tablets. Not only did we finally see the unveiling of Google’s tablet-based Android 3.0 Honeycomb, but we saw many Android phone announcements - the best including NVIDIA’s new Tegra 2 processor. In 2011, we will see devices such as the revolutionary Motorola ATRIX, and ultra-powerful phones such as the DROID BIONIC and LG Optimus 2X. 2011 is going to be an exciting year for Android, and all technology all together. We are going to see many revolutionary devices launched as well as a few new updates to the Android operating system. Motorola Atrix 4G and Laptop Dock Hands-On

The Motorola Atrix has been officially announced to the world. Being one of the only "jaw dropping" devices at this year's CES it's an incredibly innovative device. Being touted as "The Worlds Most Powerful Smartphone," the device will allow the user to dock into both a larger display and laptop case, and with it's full onboard RAM, it definitely has the power to be a true laptop/desktop/tablet replacement. Once docked the user will presented with the Motorola WebTop UI and we went hands-on with both the device and its laptop dock. The device is proving to be very impressive.
