T-Mobile G2x vs HTC ThunderBolt vs ATRIX 4G vs Sidekick [Physical Comparisons]
We had an extra 5 minutes today, believe it or not, so a few photos were indeed fired off. What transpired here was a comparison photo shoot (with a few specs below too, if you'd like,) that compared the T-Mobile G2x to the Sidekick (just for fun,) then to the HTC ThunderBolt and the AT&T ATRIX 4G. Would you like to know which one is the thickest? It's the Sidekick - spoiler! Would you like to know which one looks the most awesome? That's something you're going to have to decide for yourself. This is an odd assortment you're not going to find anywhere else - I guarantee it.

HTC Sensation vs Galaxy S II vs ATRIX 4G [DUAL-CORE BRAWL]
Behold the newest addition to our known entries into the dual-core category for Android smartphones, the HTC Sensation. Of course that means that it's time for a battle, yes? We've got the Galaxy S II (or Galaxy S 2, however you want to write it,) and the ATRIX 4G in the ring as well, all looking for a piece of the gaming and/or productivity action. Each dual-core phone can handle hella data - but can they handle each-other? Let the bell ringing begin!

Motorola Atrix goes on sale for less than $50 at Amazon
This weekend, Amazon put the Motorola Atrix on sale for $49.99 with a two year deal. And they were VERY quiet about it too. The sub $50 price tag is the lowest the Atrix has been advertised for to date and shows that Amazon is being pretty aggressive with this Android phone. The sale is still available until midnight tonight, so if you've been wanting to get your this new 4G phone from AT&T, you better hurry, because the clock is ticking.

Droid Bionic Release Date SOON [Same for Droid 3, ATRIX Says Verizon]
Whilst traveling through our local strip mall today, we had a chance encounter with a Verizon employee, if you call walking straight up to a Verizon employee and asking a chance encounter, where we learned a few extra small details about three mothership Android phones that are on the 2011 horizon. First, and perhaps most important, the Droid Bionic was on the list for requesting. Upon asking the release date for said phone, the rep smiled knowingly* and said, "while we don't technically know, between you and me, soon."

Motorola Atrix coming to Orange in the UK
Motorola Mobile and Orange UK has announced that the Motorola Atrix is coming to the United Kingdom. The Atrix offers the ability to become the bridge between desktop and mobile computing thanks to the optional Motorola Laptop Dock, which sports an 11.6-inch LCD, full keyboard, track pad and integrated battery. Users simply slide the Atrix into the port in back, and it becomes a notebook, booting into Motorola's Webtop OS. Users can take calls while working, and can disengage the Atrix from the dock to talk without dropping a call. Pretty slick.

Firefox 4 Android Benchmarks on HTC ThunderBolt and ATRIX 4G
What we've got here are two rather different phones and three sort of similar browsers, the phones running on two rather different carriers and the browsers whose creators would all hope to gain your attention long enough to browse the internet with their application over the competition. What we're using to test out the browsers in question, the newest of which, Firefox 4, was just released today, is a JavaScript Benchmark by the name of SunSpider. It's a sweet test that can test everyone equally.

Atrix 4G and Inspire 4G to get HSUPA support in April update
AT&T has leaked in a Facebook response that the Motorola Atrix 4G an HTC Inspire 4G will be getting HSUPA 4G support with it's April software update. In addition, the Samsung Infuse 4G will come HSUPA enabled right out of the box. AT&T has caught fire of late for hobbling HSUPA 4G on their hallmark phones while they proceeded to 'test the network.' That caused many of those Atrix fans who bought the hype brought on by the Atrix winning best cellphone at CES and dove in with both feet, only to find a 4G phone only running at 3G speed. That will all change come April.

Atrix 4G first update falls short, no voice quality improvement
Motorola is poised to offer it's first OTA update to the Motorola Atrix. Unfortunately, it won't address the main gripes Atrix users are grumbling about ... namely voice quality and the lack of HSUPA support. Motorola says they're still working on this fixes for a future OTA update, and that omitting them in this OTA was a "tough decision." There's no real word on what will be in the change log just yet, but it's release, in beta form, will come Friday at 12pm EST, and users can sign up to test it here.
