Asus Zenwatch adds to Android Wear catalog for the holidays

Google’s Android Wear family is slowly growing, with more gadgets coming as the holidays roll in. The most recent of these is the ASUS Zenwatch, with the wearable device coming initially to Best Buy this November 9. The smartwatch was teased at Google I/O in June, and it will add to the now growing list of Android wearables.

ASUS releases three apps for upcoming ZenWatch

ASUS' first Android Wear smartwatch, the ZenWatch, is not yet out in the market, but ahead of its official release comes three apps to prepare you for your new wearable (well, if you're planning on getting one at least). Nexus Player now available, compatible games lined up

And it’s officially selling – the Nexus Player, that is. If you haven’t come across this device yet – although we’re not sure how that would be possible – this is the first Android TV set top box being pushed by Google and was manufactured by ASUS. We’ve speculated on its availability for a time now, but it’s finally available.

ASUS gamepad for Nexus Player available by late November

The Nexus Player is Google’s first real marketable offering for Android TV – with a big boost from gadget manufacturer ASUS. The Nexus Player has the specs enough to be a reliable casual gaming console as well, especially with the ability to connect Bluetooth gaming controllers. This is why ASUS’s dedicated gaming controllers for the Nexus Player – the ASUS Gamepad – may very much be in demand as the holiday season rolls in.

Google not locking down Android, coming to TVs and cars in the near future

Google will soon take over the world. The search giant is bent on bringing its Android platform into other devices aside from smartphones, tablets, and smartwatches. Soon, we’ll see Android-running cars, TVs, appliances, and more. When it comes to cars, there’s already the Android Auto being employed in the latest Honda vehicles. Android Wear can now be found on watches while the OS version for Android TVs is still being developed.

New videos from ASUS showcase Padfone S 2-in-1 features

ASUS has released on its YouTube channel several new videos highlighting the advantages of having a 2-in-1 device with its Padfone S smartphone/tablet hybrid. The gadget line, which is one of a kind (so far) can be used as a smartphone which then converts into a tablet when docked, for the price of one device and one data plan as well. So this might be the device for those who want to have both but may have only budget for one.
