ASUS ZenWatch

ASUS intros new ZenWatch 2 at Computex

Over at the Computex tech event in Taiwan, ASUS showed off the new ZenWatch 2. It's obviously a follow up to last year's ZenWatch. What's good about the 2015 ZenWatch is that it will be available in two width sizes: 37mm and 41mm. The 37mm features an 18mm strap while the 41mm will have a 22mm band. The ZenWatch 2 versions boast the same AMOLED dipslays, Gorilla Glass 3, magnetic charging cables, as well as, IP67 dust and water resistance.

No WiFi support for some smartwatches from LG, Asus

Apparently, not all Android Wear smartwatches are created equal. While those who own the Moto 360 and the Sony Smartwatch 3 are rejoicing that they will have WiFi support from the latest update from the wearable platform, some smartwatches like the LG G Watch, G Watch R, and the Asus Zenwatch will not be getting this additional connectivity from Android. There is still no word from Samsung on whether their devices have WiFi antennas.

ASUS to launch fitness-centric, 10-day battery life VivoWatch

ASUS' current wearable, the ZenWatch had a pretty great two-day battery life, for a device on the Android Wear platform. It looks like they're trying to top that with a new smartwatch that they're launching, and this time, it's not just 2 days or even 5 days, but it claims it can run on 10 days without recharging it. Will the VivoWatch live up to its promise of being a fitness-centric smartwatch?

ASUS takes a jab at Apple, shows off ZenWatch and ZenFone 2

I think this is the first time I've seen ASUS bold enough to take a jab at Apple and be intense in advertising the latest ASUS ZenFone 2. Why, the Taiwanese manufacturer has just posted a handy shopping guide obviously making fun of the very expensive Apple Watch. ASUS referred to Apple's first smartwatch as the "golden watch". No mention exactly of the product but it's very obvious.

ASUS ZenWatch now available, sort of

The much-awaited ASUS ZenWatch was listed on Google Play last week but only with a ‘Coming soon’ tag. We only learned that it comes with a $199 price tag and with an unknown availability. The next day, the Android team through Android Wear Senior Product Manager Jeff Chang proudly announced that the smartwatch is finally available not only on Google Play but also on Best Buy.

Asus Zenwatch adds to Android Wear catalog for the holidays

Google’s Android Wear family is slowly growing, with more gadgets coming as the holidays roll in. The most recent of these is the ASUS Zenwatch, with the wearable device coming initially to Best Buy this November 9. The smartwatch was teased at Google I/O in June, and it will add to the now growing list of Android wearables.

ASUS releases three apps for upcoming ZenWatch

ASUS' first Android Wear smartwatch, the ZenWatch, is not yet out in the market, but ahead of its official release comes three apps to prepare you for your new wearable (well, if you're planning on getting one at least). The ZenWatch Manager, Remote Camera and Wellness apps were created to enhance your ZenWatch experience, although one app can actually be used with other smartwatches on the Android Wear platform.
