ASUS Transformer Pad TF300 asked nicely for the bootloader to be unlocked ASUS has made it official today. Using a very similar method as the Transformer Prime ASUS is now allowing the TF300's bootloader to be unlocked via their utility tool. More details after the break.

ASUS Transformer Pad 300, also known as the TF300T, has been available for a few weeks and already ASUS is pushing a firmware update that is bringing tons of new features, and making a couple of quick changes. Not only have they released an update, but ASUS has also made the source code available for download to those interested.
Eee Pad Transformer Prime reigns supreme at the top of ASUS' tablet portfolio, but the newcommmer Transformer Pad TF300 has a lot to prove. This cheaper alternative to the flagship also has an NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor, a gigabyte of RAM and it's running Ice Cream Sandwich. The Transformer Prime is the better of the two tablets (unless you want GPS signals without a dongle) but is it $120 better? If you're a performance junkie, you're about to find out. Note that all tests were made on a Transformer Prime and Transformer Pad TF300 running unmodified Android 4.0.3.
