ASUS Transformer Pad 300 update fixes bugs and improves HDMI

If you're the proud owner of one of those ASUS tablets, you've received your fair share of updates for the device. Except maybe the original Transformer. They've been quick with Android 4.1 and 4.2 Jelly Bean, and today the Transformer Pad 300 is getting a quick upgrade to fix some bugs. Take a peek at what below.

ASUS Transformer Pad 300 and 700 getting quick software updates

Today we are hearing multiple reports that the folks from ASUS are updating a few of their Transformer Pad tablets with a little software update. Earlier we mentioned the ASUS Padfone 2 received Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, but for those already running Jelly Bean on their Transformer this update is rather minor. So far both the Transformer Pad TF300 and 700 Infinity have seen updates as of this afternoon.

ASUS releases Jelly Bean ROM for LTE Transformer Pad 300

Back in August, ASUS began rolling out the Android Jelly Bean update for the ASUS Transformer Pad 300 in the US. The first rollout provided the update for the non-LTE version of the Transformer Pad 300, leaving those with the LTE-enabled version stuck on Ice Cream Sandwich. Now, about two months later, ASUS has released the Jelly Bean ROM for the LTE version of the TF300.

Transformer Pad TF300 Quad-core LTE tablet hitting Germany

When ASUS announced their new Transformer Pad lineup back at Mobile World Congress they mentioned a 4G LTE model more than a few times. Originally stating a quad-core Tegra 3 TF300 would hit, then be followed with a model that also supported 3G and 4G LTE networks. New reports are stating this LTE version, model TF300TL could arrive in August.

Google recently released Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean to AOSP. Meaning developers can dive in and start hacking, tweaking, and building ROM's direct from Google's source. We'll be seeing plenty and plenty of ROM's over the next few days (and there is tons already available) but we've just spotted a decently stable experimental AOSP build of Jelly Bean for the Transformer Pad TF300T.
