ASUS regarding their unique and original PadFone tablet, but today the hybrid device is getting an update to Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean. After the original was overlooked and ASUS updated the PadFone 2 to Jelly Bean back in December, those early adopters are getting the treat today according to reports.

ASUS has officially announced the PadFone Infinity during Mobile World Congress. The PadFone Infinity is a 5-inch smartphone that when docked with the Infinity Station, it becomes a tablet. ASUS has yet to reveal the full set of release details, however they have said that is should arrive this April and priced from £799.

Padfone, how long we've waited for you. But those of you in Europe won't have to wait too much longer. After ASUS announced that the much-anticipated smartphone/tablet/netbook would be selling in Taiwan this month, Notebook Italia reports that Italy (and presumably other European territories) will get the Padfone in late May. They also spoke to the Euro price of the device: €699 for the phone and tablet combo. The keyboard dock, similar to the docks for the Transformer tablets, will be an additional €149.
