Asus Eee Pad Transformer Rooted

It appears that a mister @PaulOBrien has rooted his brand new Asus Eee Pad Transformer with much success, evoking "all your base" as he announces his accomplishment. This tablet is barely available, having been released on April 10th as an Amazon exclusive in the UK, set to have a wider release on May 1st. So that's impossible, right? There's no way a person would have been able to root a device before he could have physically gotten his hands on it, correct? Maybe its special delivery magic.

ASUS Transformer gets an unboxing video

The ASUS Transformer Android 3.0 Honeycomb tablet is making a little splash at the moment, and with good reason. Today we get a little unboxing video.

Eee Pad Transformer website launched

Asus has launched it's web portal for their upcoming eeePC Transformer tablet. The site appears to be using the computer's optional docking station as it's centerpiece with the slogan "My Multiple Life, I decide." The main image shows the Transformer sliding into the docking station with keyboard to become a complete laptop solution. The dock also provides for longer battery life, up to 16 hours, over the 9.5 hours just on the tablet battery.

All that's changed now - or at least the dollar bit has, as Best Buy's reporting on their release (minus the date bit) and what you'll be spending on this fabulous Honeycomb tablet.
