ASUS MeMo Pad HD 7 available for pre-order

Budget tablets have come a long way, evolving from cheap knockoffs to decent and affordable alternatives, with manufacturers like ASUS continually raising the bar. The latest such device to come from the company's line up is the MeMo Pad HD 7 which has now become available online for pre-orders for a very low price.

ASUS MeMo Pad HD 7 and FHD 10 tablets unveiled

ASUS has unveiled the MeMo Pad FHD 10 and HD 7 tablets. While both of these tablets are in the same family of devices, they will likely each have unique audiences. The HD 7 is a smaller tablet with a relatively low price point while the FHD 10 is larger and should be a bit more powerful. Similar to the other Computex announcements we have seen from ASUS, this one is also missing some of the finer points.

ASUS MeMO Pad Smart 10 teaser video released

We got bit of a look at the MeMO Pad Smart 10 last week when ASUS unveiled the tablet during the Thailand Mobile Expo, however as of today we are being given a slightly better look. This latest look doesn't come with much extra in terms of release dates, however it is in video form and touting some of the highlights such as processor and sound. In this case that would be quad-core with SonicMaster Audio Technology.

ASUS Eee Pad MeMo charted for January 2012

The ASUS Eee Pad MeMo tablet hasn't received nearly as much publicity as the Transformer Prime, but now we know why. ASUS states the MeMo 7" tablet will launch January 2012 with Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) on board. MeMo has been through different hardware and design stages as well, when it formerly appeared with a 3D capable display. They've since then scratched that, and will focus more on the paired functionality of the MeMic Bluetooth device to the actual tablet - after all, they do ship together.
