Possible Huawei Mate 7 Plus or Mini hits AnTuTu benchmark

Huawei is expected to release a new phone at the upcoming IFA event next month. A lot of companies are set to unveil new products and devices in Berlin this September and Huawei is one of those many brands getting busy with preparation. Last week, a video of the purported new Nexus device was leaked. Over the weekend, a new image was sighted of what's believed to be the yet-to-be-unveiled Huawei Mate 7 mini or the Huawei Mate 7 Plus.

We’re just a few days away from the official launch of the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 in New York and that means that more leaks and rumors are flying around. This time around, we have some supposed photos of the upcoming new phablet, as well as the performance score from AnTuTu, a popular mobile benchmarking site. And while none of these can be confirmed as yet, they all seem to be pointing to the same specs so we can assume that these are more or less what we can expect from the new product to be announced next week.

Top 10 smartphones of the first half of 2015 from AnTuTu

Looking back to Q1 of 2015 and AnTuTu’s revelation of which smartphones reigned their benchmarking databases for the early part of the year, we see Samsung’s dynamic duo – the Samsung Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge – dominating those rankings, with HTC’s One M9 not so far back at third spot. The China-based benchmarking outfit has now released its data for the first half of the year, crowning 10 smartphones as top of the pile – at least, the ones that have been benchmarked by their app.

AnTuTu names Most Popular Android Smartphones for Q1 of 2015

Every quarter and every year, AnTuTu releases lists of most popular smartphones for a certain period. First quarter is over and we already learned about the Top 10 Performance Smartphones for Q1 of 2015. The data were based on the AnTuTu app installed on the said devices and numbers were then ranked. As for the Most Popular Android Smartphones category, we reported that Xiaomi 4 was No. 1 followed by Samsung Galaxy Note 3, Samsung Galaxy S5, Xiaomi 3, and the ASUS ZenFone 5 within Top 5 for the whole of 2014.

AnTuTu names Top10 Performance Smartphones for Q1 of 2015

It's April 1. Nope. No April Fool's Day joke from us. We were just reminded that the first quarter of the year is over. This means performance and financial reports will be released in the next few weeks or days. The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge has been spied making a run at the AnTuTu benchmark program and in its wake are details about the hardware that will be inside the device when it launches. We are all expecting big things from the next Galaxy S device and if the benchmarks are real, big things are in store performance wise.
