Rovio pushes Icebreaker: A Viking Voyage under new Stars program

Rovio Entertainment has announced their latest venture today, Rovio Stars, which is a mobile game publishing initiative. Basically, this is Rovio shifting from simply offering their own games to putting themselves in a position to push games from others. The name, Rovio Stars seems to be a play on what they intend to do -- publish and in turn highlight games from other developers that they believe have potential.

Rovio unveils Accounts for cross-device game play

Rovio has recently announced a new feature that will be rolling out across their line of games. The new feature is called Accounts and it will likely arrive as good news for those who have multiple devices. Basically, Rovio Accounts will allow you to stop playing on one device and pick up where you left off on another device.

Angry Birds Friends coming to Android this week

Earlier in the month we learned Rovio Mobile was planning to release Angry Birds Friends for Android. This mobile release will follow the initial availability on Facebook, which had the game sitting with about 15 million monthly active users as of the beginning of April. The good news as of today, we now know that Rovio Mobile will be releasing the Android version of Angry Birds Friends later this week.

If you're like us and have been thinking there just isn't enough Angry Birds games yet, get excited because Rovio Mobile has just announced another is headed to Android. Their popular Angry Birds Friends game exclusively on Facebook is set to be the first Facebook game they've also released on Android. As if we didn't have enough versions of Angry Birds already.

This week the folks at Rovio are yet again teasing another expansion for their popular bird slinging game. The popular and newest version Angry Birds Star Wars is about to get a new expansion called Cloud City. Get ready for more bird fun in the city of clouds all in the Star Wars style guys. This game isn't going anywhere anytime soon.

Angry Birds Toons will deliver weekly cartoons for the kids

Sigh. Will it ever end? The Angry Birds success just keeps on rolling. For some the Angry Birds collection of games, gear, apparel and more might be getting old, but millions and millions still play it daily. Not only that, but the kids still love it and I'm sure parents love the quiet time too. Well Angry Birds just one-upped that, and have a new cartoon coming soon.

Rovio drops all their Angry Birds HD games to $0.99

Just when you start to think everyone is finally getting over the excitement of this Angry Birds stage, the developers Rovio go and do something awesome. I'm still wondering when this phase will actually die, and we're starting to think it never will. Angry Birds Star Wars revived the brand for a while, and now it looks like they're tossing all their HD games on sale to get some added attention.
