Sprint Kyocera Echo Hands-On
It's one of the oddest devices you're ever going to hold in your hands, and that's not just in the Android gene pool. This is the Kyocera Echo, the dual-screen Android smartphone announced by Sprint earlier this year with David Blaine the magician. Certainly a memorable event to say the least. This device is made to appeal to your need to have a device that absolutely noone else has, a device that would scare away the meek of heart, a device like you've never seen before! We've wrapped our fingers around its odd panels and buttons and the results are just as odd as the concept.

WiFi Xoom Tablet $599 preorder at B&H
Motorola's WiFi only variant of the Xoom has been spotted at the online retailer B&H for $599 on pre-order. The B&H ad is the first we've seen that offers pre-orders on the Xoom on immediately. That may satisfy your need to lay down the plastic, but patience can be a virtue. We noted last month of Sam's Club's plan to sell the Android 3 (Honeycomb) tablet starting March 27th for $539 (membership required). But if you really want it now, there's always the 3G version on sale at Sam's for $599 on a two year contract.

German company ExB offers cloud storage for Android tablets
With a move underway to move everything to the "cloud," German company ExB is porting it's popular cloud based storage solution "petitpetit" (PTPT) to the Android Platform. Most tablets have limited storage, and often, the information users have isn't organized in a method they can access and process intuitively. petitpetit acts as a kind of personal "Wiki" organizing contacts, photos and videos, and even various documents in a manner than can accessed, cross-referenced, and even collated according the need of the moment. Android developers can also take advantage of the Wiki based application by embedding the user interface into their apps framework as well.

Verizon waives $35 Tablet activation fee
Verizon has announced that they waiving their $35 Tablet activation fee for month to month data plans related to the Motorola Xoom and Samsung Galaxy Tab tablets. The fee waiver is retroactive to March 1. Users who find they have been charged the fee, should also see a similar credit on the same bill effectively cancelling it out. The waiver is likely in response to the fact that the iPad 2 has no activation fee from Verizon, so why wouldn't Android get the same kind of love.

Android Booms in Western Europe, Biggest Smartphone OS as of Q4 2010
Android is very quickly becoming the biggest and best Mobile OS, and not just in Europe but around the world. The extremely wide adoption from all manufacturers and developers, to the hundreds of choices make it a clear cut winner (aka #winning like Charlie Sheen). Android has continued to evolve and grow in huge numbers that can be seen in most markets everywhere. You can read here about Android passing BlackBerry to become #1 smartphone. Stories like that just mentioned keep showing up more and more.

Olivetti OliPad 100 Android Tablet Hands-on and Unboxing [Cute Little Italian Number] [VIDEO]
Well would you look at that, a group of fellas over in Italy have their hands on an Olivetti OliPad 100, an 10-inch Android tablet running Android 2.2 Froyo with a slightly unique physical build. This isn't exactly an iPad killer by any stretch of the imagination, but it is interesting to see the different iterations of tablets coming out on this 2011 wave to be sure. This tablet has a 1024 x 600 pixel resolution on it's multi-touch display and a sassy ARM Corex A9 dual-core processor running the engine.

HTC ThunderBolt 10/24 Pattern Tipped for Release Date
We've received a tip from a fellow by the name of JR who has apparently recently had a chat with a friend of the family who works at corporate for Verizon. While we're not always jumping at attention for tips from friends of friends, if you know what I mean, this one smells like peanut butter, looks like peanut butter, and you know what? We think it's pretty much obvious that this is peanut butter. But before we get to the actual pattern she (the Verizon rep) gave that leads to the correct date, let's talk about what else she said, the funny stuff.
