ICS tablet interface shows up in Android Market screenshots

By now you've probably been inundated with screenshots and hands-on photos of Ice Cream Sandwich on the Galaxy Nexus. (This is a good time to mention that we have screenshots and hands-on photos of Ice Cream Sandwich on the Galaxy Nexus.) But one thing that's currently missing is a good look at Ice Cream Sandwich's tablet interface. Well, it looks like Google just couldn't wait for an ICS update and started playing around on their own - screenshots of the tablet interface can be found on the Android Market listing for Google Music.

Total Honeycomb tablet sales estimate: 3.4 million units

Google was quick to highlight the continuing rise of Android on the smartphone platform at their third quarter earnings call, citing 190 million total Android activations globally. Google didn't mention how many of those activations came from tablets running Honeycomb, but according to a developer estimate, it isn't much. With the Android team's latest statistics, the total number of active Honeycomb tablets in the wild comes out to a depressing 3.4 million.

DirecTV NFL Sunday Ticket App Now available for Android Honeycomb

With the NFL finally getting started this week along with plenty of teams seeing the light (or dark), DirecTV has introduced their own NFL Sunday Ticket app specifically for Android Honeycomb tablets. They have long had a Sunday Ticket app, but this is for Android 3.1 and up tablets only and will be taking advantage of the full 10.1" display similar to the recently released NFL 2011 for Honeycomb by the NFL.

NFL 2011 App for Honeycomb Tablets

Just in time for Football to officially get started yesterday the NFL has released their official NFL 2011 app for Android tablets. This requires Android 3.0 or higher and so far it is amazing. I'm way too excited about this because the NFL Mobile app from Verizon doesn't support tablets and everything else just doesn't compare. Watching highlight videos and checking news in amazing quality built specifically for the 10" display looks incredible. Well done NFL, well done!

T-Mobile Changing Restocking fees based on device type

It looks like starting May 22nd T-Mobile is all set to be making some pretty drastic changes to the return and restocking fee policy. According to the leaked screenshot they will now be charging a different restocking fee based on the specific device that is being returned. All the way up to a $75 dollar fee for a tablet, looks like it will be Ebay or Craigslist for some. They said it was “an effort to offset the costs of processing and restocking devices for certain types of device exchanges and return.”
