Samsung will not be launching the tablet as the Galaxy Tab 3, but instead as the Galaxy S Tab. The reasoning here is that Samsung wants to continue to build upon the success they saw with the Galaxy S phone line.
HP officially announced the Slate 7 tablet back in late February and at the time they were pretty forthcoming in terms of price and specs. The release details were not quite as complete, however HP did say the tablet would be available beginning in April. Well, it now looks like that release time has quietly been pushed up a few months. HP hasn't said anything specific, but the Slate 7 page on the HP website has been updated.
Sony was going to be launching the Xperia Tablet Z in Japan on March 22 and we recently saw the device make an appearance with the FCC ahead of a US release. As of today though, we have some details for those hoping to pick up the Xperia Tablet Z in the UK -- a release is coming and pre-orders are already available.

Sony Xperia Tablet Z is now one step closer to being released in the US market. We haven't seen a specific release date just yet, however the fact that the device has recently passed by the FCC does imply that a release date is getting closer. That being said, this filing is for the Wi-Fi only model and for better or worse -- does not contain much in terms of surprises.
GT-5110 and it was a 16GB model with Wi-Fi connectivity. Basically, we were looking at the Wi-Fi only Galaxy Note 8.0 at that time. And well, as of today it looks like the FCC filing for the cellular connected model has been discovered.
