ECS TA80TA1 tablet makes an FCC appearance showing Bay Trail

Elite Computer Systems was showing off an Android tablet during Mobile World Congress. For reference, they are an OEM company, which means this is more of a reference device that will be used by others. But while this specific model may not arrive in the hands of a user, a recently discovered FCC filing did show something interesting.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 805-powered developer tablet detailed

It was back in November of 2013 when we learned the Snapdragon 805 "Ultra UD" processor would be heading to devices in 2014. Well, it looks like the first of these devices will be arriving in April. But before anyone gets super excited here -- this first device is going to be one aimed at developers. We've seen similar reference tablets from Qualcomm in the past, and this time around we are seeing the Snapdragon 805 Mobile Development Platform Tablet (MDP/T).

Lenovo A-Series tablet lineup expands

Lenovo has officially unveiled the latest in the A-Series tablet lineup. In this case that means a handful of models including the A7-30, A7-50, A8 and the A10. As suggested by the model numbers, these tablets will all vary in display size. Lenovo also appears to be pushing these for different purposes.

HP 8 1401 tablet arrives to fill the entry-level lineup

HP has added another Android tablet to the lineup. This latest model is the HP 8 1401 and judging by the specs and price, this is an entry-level tablet and possibly a good option for those shopping with a strict budget in mind. The HP 8 1401 specs include a 7.85-inch display at 1024 x 768 and 1GHz AllWinner A31S quad-core processor.
