Samsung Galaxy S II Backlight Notifications Mod

Anyone that has recently went from another manufacturer like HTC to a Samsung device quickly realized they didn't have a notification LED of any sort. While this may not be important to some, many that are use to the feature end up missing it. I know when I got my G2x I wished I had the notification like like the myTouch 4G, Nexus One, G1 and many others did. Today I have the Samsung BLN Mod for you all.

Xiaomi M1 Dual-Core Android Phone, Call it the MIUI Phone

Xiaomi will be introducing a new phone called the M1 in China, for now I'm just going to call this the MIUI Phone. For those that don't know, MIUI is probably one of if not the biggest custom ROM currently available for Android Phones. With the main competition most likely CyanogenMod. This phone will launch, and come new with a custom MIUI Rom out of the box -- and I want one ASAP!

Motorola Droid Kernels v0.3 Released by Peter Alfonso

The OG Droid as some call it is in fact the original Motorola Droid that was hugely popular over on Verizon. I still see the Droid more than almost any other Android I think. If you have rooted or toyed with your Droid most likely you know the name Peter Alfonso, he is the man that has been keeping the Droid chugging along for a while. With stock rooted Android 2.3 builds as well as all the different kernels you could ever imagine.

CyanogenMod 7 running strong, Installed on over 200,000 devices

For those that may not be keeping score of our favorite ROM developers CyanogenMod, I have been watching for you and I can now say it looks like they have hit a pretty large milestone. 200,000 users running CyanogenMod 7. That is extremely impressive for the guys from TD. This all started back on the G1 and has grown into something larger than any of them had ever expected. This is only for CyanogenMod 7, this doesn't count users that for some reason may still be on CM6, or even CM5 from the good ol days.

TouchWiz 4 ported to Samsung Galaxy S

The gang at XDA can't be stopped. This time, taking TouchWiz 4 and they've ported it to the Samsung Galaxy S. Now before you think, "oh cool, I've been wanting to do the whole rooting ROM thing," give it a second thought. The average user just cutting their teeth on custom ROMs may want to stay clear or at least wait on this one, it's not for the faint of heart.
