Rovio shares The Croods game trailer ahead of March 14 launch

Rovio has shared the teaser for their upcoming game release. The game is based on an upcoming movie from DreamWorks Animation Studio and is called The Croods. Rovio and DreamWorks will be releasing the game on March 14, which comes one week ahead of the movie release. The Croods movie will make its way into theaters on March 22.

NVIDIA shows Burn Zombie Burn on Project SHIELD

NVIDIA has returned with another game title that will be released for Project SHIELD. This latest demo is coming out of Mobile World Congress and is showing a game that was formerly available only on the PS3. That game is Burn Zombie Burn and it comes by way of Tick Tock Games. And as we have seen with the other Project SHIELD game teasers -- this one will also be optimized for the Tegra 4 processor.

OUYA Kickstarter shipments will begin on March 28

Some good news has arrived for those who backed the OUYA game console on Kickstarter, a shipping date has been set. Granted, it would have been much nicer to say those were beginning now, but lets focus on the positive -- a date has been set. The folks at OUYA have announced that the Kickstarter shipments will begin in just about a months time, on March 28. In addition to that date, they have also been talking games.

NVIDIA reveals five Tegra 4 optimized games

NVIDIA recently shared details on the Tegra 4 optimized version of Zombie Driver and as of today they have announced an additional five Tegra 4 optimized game titles. These latest five include Burn Zombie Burn, Carie: Blood Mansion, RPG CODEX, Dead on Arrival 2 and RU Golf. NVIDIA hasn't offered anything in terms of a timeline of when these games can be expected to arrive -- however without a release date for the Tegra 4, a release date for the games suddenly seems a bit less important.

GameStick pre-orders now available for $79

The GameStick game console was another Kickstarter success story in terms of funding and while we wait for those units to begin shipping, we have some good news for those who choose not to back. Of course, going back to the successful funding, we suppose this latter group may be the minority. Regardless though, the good news as of today is that pre-orders have come available.

DIE HARD for Android arrives as an endless runner style game

Coming ahead of this weekends A Good Day to Die Hard movie release, Fox Digital Entertainment has released the mobile game DIE HARD for Android. The game has you playing as Jack McClane and arrives as an endless runner style. Though, it is doing that with a small twist, in DIE HARD you have the danger coming from the front which forces you to go on the attack and confront your enemies head on. We should also mentioned that this one has come by way of POSSIBLE, the developers behind The End.

OUYA game approvals will be quick and mirror the mobile model

We recently learned about how the OUYA game console was planning to take the mobile approach in terms of future console releases, and well, it appears as if game approvals will also be taking a similar path. The details are again coming from OUYA CEO Jane Uhrman who recently commented about the process. She didn't go into specifics, however she did offer a quick summary as well let everyone know that the process will be kicking off later this month.

OUYA promising a new game console each year

It looks like the OUYA game console will be following the model we often see with mobile phones. That is to say, it looks like they have plans to release a new console each year. The details are coming out of the DICE 2013 conference where CEO Julie Uhrman said that their strategy will be "very much similar to the mobile strategy."

OUYA game console will be in retail stores this June

The OUYA game console is going to soon be available in retail stores. The consoles are expected to land with several retailers including some brick-and-mortar and some on the web. The list of stores looks to include Gamestop, Best Buy and Target as well as Amazon. The OUYA should be available with these retailers beginning in June, and pre-orders are already available with several of them.
