BlueStacks reveals GamePop console pricing

BlueStacks announced the GamePop console earlier in the month and opened up pre-orders immediately. More to the point, BlueStacks were giving a console and controller for free if you signed up for a year long subscription. The subscription is priced at $6.99 per month and includes access to (at present) more than 500 games. The one catch with that offer is how you have to pay -- for the full year up front.

OUYA console receives an unofficial CWM Recovery release

The OUYA game console release was previously delayed until June 25th, however that doesn't seem to have stopped those who have one of the already available developer units. We know the OUYA team is friendly towards hacking and modding. In fact, they previously announced a MakerBot partnership that will allow users to create their own cases. More to the point for today though, those developers have already released a working version of CWM Recovery.

Rovio pushes Icebreaker: A Viking Voyage under new Stars program

Rovio Entertainment has announced their latest venture today, Rovio Stars, which is a mobile game publishing initiative. Basically, this is Rovio shifting from simply offering their own games to putting themselves in a position to push games from others. The name, Rovio Stars seems to be a play on what they intend to do -- publish and in turn highlight games from other developers that they believe have potential.

Carmageddon for Android released by Stainless Games

As was expected, Stainless Games Ltd has released Carmageddon. The app can be found by way of the Google Play Store and at the moment is available in two versions. There is the promo release and the paid release. The key here, both of these are the full and complete game. Carmageddon will be released for Android this coming Friday and it looks like there has recently been some talk in terms of pricing. Basically, Carmageddon will be available in three versions. Yesterday brought news of an upcoming (and exclusive) game release for the OUYA console. That game will be Soul Fjord and it will be coming by way of Airtight Games. The key here, that is only one title for one console. Enter the latest from Madfinger Games who has been talking about the OUYA as well as the GameStick and MOGA. As for games, the talk begins (and seems to circle around) Shadowgun.

Dead on Arrival 2 beta arriving next month

It isn't a secret that NV3 Games will be releasing Dead on Arrival 2, however what we had been waiting on was word of a when that release will be. Well, we have yet to see when the final release will be available, but we now have word of an upcoming beta. The details have recently been shared on the official Dead on Arrival 2 site where they are asking for those who aren't afraid of the dark and those who "have a stomach for wave after wave of bloodshed and mayhem."
