Firefox 6 Browser Beta Now in Android Market

Firefox was updated to version 6.0 today for many users on desktop and laptops everywhere, today they've also pushed the latest 6.0 out to the BETA version on the Android Market. Just as a reminder the standard Firefox in the market is still on 5.0 and the beta app has been updated to 6.0 so you can keep your original should you run into problems. We love updates and Mozilla just keeps rolling them out. From once being a laggy and buggy terrible mobile browser Firefox is now one of the most popular and secure 3rd party browsers for Android.

Maxthon Mobile 2.1.2 lands for Android with 3D skins in tow

Maxthon has announced that a new version of its mobile browser has landed for Android. The new version is Maxton Mobile 2.1.2 and it has some cool features. The new features include a new selection of skins for the browser including some with 3D floating effects that lets the user customize the device more. The browser also has a default zoon to size pages for easy viewing.

Dolphin Browser HD v5.0 clears beta, now offered ad-free

The popular 3rd party browser for android Dolphin HD has just updated today to version 5.0 after being in beta for a while. Along with the updated version comes some great new changes and improvements. One important note is the main app no longer has ads integrated. Before users needed an add-on that removed ads or had to pay for Dolphin. Version 5.0 is now ad-free.

Google April fools jokes still going? Type Tilt in your mobile browser

So of all people and blogs, Google is known to love and enjoy April Fools Day. They had all sorts of weird stories up this year. If you happened to catch any of them, this year they were good. From the kinect-like Gmail Motion thing, to entering the font "comic sans" in your browser search bar and everything came back in comic sans font. Today it looks like someone at Google is still having fun.

Opera Mobile & Mini Browsers get updated for Android, Reviewed on Xoom

The makers of the popular Opera browser have been busy making their browser quick, stable, and silky smooth. Lately they have included some huge changes that are sure to make things interesting in the Android browser wars. Today Opera has updated both versions and are available in the Android Market. Android Loads webpages faster than Safari, or does it?

Earlier today there were a few reports about Android and it's browser speeds in comparison to the iPhone 4 and Apple's Safari. Showing that android was just about 52% faster at loading web pages. That is a pretty bold statement, and would be awesome if it was completely true. The website optimization firm Blaze came out with a study that basically showed Android having a very large lead over Apple and Safari. The story has now been proven to be a little inaccurate.

Official Google Weather App Adds Customizable Features

Though it may seem like an app, it's actually a browser-based experience. Is this the future of apps? Or the past? Google has announced today that they've been working on an "app-like" way to check the weather, available to everyone right this moment by searching for "weather" in your web browser on Google.com. This project has been available for some time, but features added today make it a sight to behold.

Maxthon mobile app for Android gets multi-platform sync

Earlier this month Maxthon mobile launched for the first time. If you missed that launch, Maxthon Mobile is a new browser for Android devices that lets the user do things like sync bookmarks, history and more form your desktop with your mobile device using cloud services. One of the cooler features of the browser is that it allows the user to navigate by designing your own gestures that can be drawn with a finger on the screen to control the menus and buttons on the browser.

Motorola i1 releasing June 20th

Boost Mobile has officially announced the Motorola i1. This Android powered handset will be available on June 2oth. Boost Mobile is a contract less prepaid wireless company, this will be the first Android handset on such a company.
