Rovio’s Bad Piggies updated with new levels and new gadgets

Rovio has rolled out the latest update for Bad Piggies. This update brings 15 new levels for those playing on the regular version as well as the HD version. Also included with the new levels are a few new tools. Specifically, Rovio has included two new tools which will be used to help you towards your goal of tracking down the "elusive" chocolate cake.

Viber for Android update brings Holo interface and desktop integration

Viber had been available as a mobile app that allowed users to make voice or video calls as well as send text or picture messages. As of today however, Viber is now available for the desktop. As part of the version 3.0 update, the company has introduced a desktop app for Mac and Windows. And in addition to the desktop apps, the Android app has also gotten an update.

RunKeeper Pebble support arrives with latest Android app update

RunKeeper became the first confirmed Pebble app a little more than a year ago and while news on that front has been a bit quiet, there is a bit of news for those who may have been waiting. In short, the RunKeeper Android app has been updated and it has brought support for the Pebble smartwatch.

Carbon backup for Android renamed to Helium

There was Carbon the backup app and Carbon the Twitter app. As of today however, it looks like an update for the backup app has brought some new features and some improvements along with a new name. This update has the app sitting at version 1.1.0.1, but perhaps more important is the new name -- Helium.

Instagram app update adds image tagging with Photos of You feature

The latest Instagram app update has been announced. This update brings a new feature called Photos of You, which is said to be the answer to the question of who. To give a bit of a background on that, the folks at Instagram have said he Photo Map answers the where and the captions and hashtags answer the what. With that in mind, Instagram users now have the Photos of You feature for the who.

Beautiful Widgets app update brings free and paid versions

Beautiful Widgets hasn't been what we would consider super expensive in the past, however those who may have been interested in the app but were turned off by the price -- your day has come. LevelUp Studio now has two versions of Beautiful Widgets available in the Google Play Store. The new app is simply called Beautiful Widgets and the previously existing version has been renamed and is now called Beautiful Widgets Pro.

Twitter for Android update brings a menu button

Twitter rolled-out the big v4.0 update back in early-April. That update brought what was described as being a brand new look and feel. Perhaps key here though, that update brought an app that was more polished looking and in general, an app that was a bit nicer to use. Despite releasing a bug fixing update shortly after, there has been one item that remained missing.

It appears as if Yahoo is on an app update kick here lately. We recently saw an update for the Yahoo Mail app that brought a new layout and proper support for tablets. This latest update deals with the Yahoo app and brings a bit of connection to a recent acquisition. Basically, the Yahoo for Android app has gotten Summly integration.

Flipboard 2.0 brings record growth, promised for Android “very soon”

Flipboard 2.0 was detailed back towards the end of March. At that time we were given a good look at what can be expected with this release and Android users were once again left waiting. This update will bring the Food app up to v2.0 and along with the new version number comes some new features. These new features deal mostly with recipes and touch on exploration, saving and browsing.
