LG G3 discovered to have hidden App Ops feature

Remember App Ops? Maybe not, especially after the heyday of Android Lollipop. It popped up, accidentally according to Google, around Android 4.3 as a way to let users make fine-grained changes to each app's permissions, without requiring root. Google eventually closed off access to App Ops in subsequent updates and we've never heard from it since. Until now. Apparently, LG has the same functionality hidden in the G3, which some have now been able to access, much to the rejoicing of power users.

Samsung Galaxy Core Lite is a budget 4G smartphone

The rationale for the original Samsung Galaxy Core smartphone was to provide a lower-end option for those who wanted a phone that looked like and acted like the current Samsung flagship phone at that point. The same is true with newly unveiled Samsung Galaxy Core Lite, probably one of the cheapest Samsung smartphone units to offer Long Term Evolution (LTE) connectivity included in an entry-level spec sheet.

Sony Xperia Z for T-Mobile getting Android 4.3 update

Sony Xperia Z owners on T-Mobile are getting an update today. The newest OTA brings a fresh version of Android, but sadly only updates it to 4.3 Jelly Bean. Sony is committed to supporting their devices, but this time it’s falling a touch short.
