HTC One Android 4.2.2 update arrives in the UK

Those in Europe saw Android 4.2.2 begin arriving for the HTC One earlier in the month. As of today however, that update has begun arriving for those in the UK market. HTC had previously said this would be an aggressive rollout and they have since confirmed the UK arrival by way of the @HTC_UK Twitter account.

Google TV update will bring Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean

Google TV wasn't mentioned during the keynote today, however there is some related news. Following the keynote, Google announced that Google TV would be getting an update. The update will be arriving sometime in the "coming months" and will bring Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean along with the latest version of Chrome. Aside from simply announcing a new update, Google also released some details about future updates including those from TV OEM partners.

Android 4.2.2 AOSP code push now complete

Google began pushing the Android 4.2.2 code to the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) a short while back, however as of today it looks like that roll-out has been completed. Simply put, this means you will be able to grab builds for all the current generation Nexus devices. What we are looking at is Android 4.2.2 with build number JDQ39.

Google details everything new that arrived with Android 4.2

Google has recently updated their Jelly Bean page. This is the page that talks about Android 4.2 as a whole, however this update has added details on everything that has arrived new since Android 4.1. Needless to say, this page takes away the guessing and just breaks it all down. To begin with, Google describes 4.2 as bringing the speed and simplicity of Android 4.1 with new features to includes Photo Sphere, a redesigned camera app, new Gesture Typing keyboard, Google Now (with new cards) and more.
