Galaxy Note 3 Android 4.4.2 Kit Kat update beginning in Europe

It appears as if Samsung has begun rolling the Android 4.4.2 update to Galaxy Note 3 users a bit ahead of schedule. Of course, that doesn't mean every Galaxy Note 3 user will be seeing the update notification just yet. To that point, the update has began in Europe, specifically in Poland. And to further detail the availability, for now it seems the update is only available using Kies and for the quad-core Snapdragon variant.

Moto G Android 4.4.2 Kit Kat rollout in full swing

Motorola announced the Android 4.4.2 update had begun rolling out to Moto G users back on December 19th. This came a bit earlier than originally expected, but as we often see -- Motorola had this one rolling out in stages. Or in other words, it was an update that wasn't immediately available for all devices. But as of today it looks like the update is now in full swing.

Moto G Android 4.4.2 OTA surfaces for sideloading

Motorola surprised Moto G users earlier in the month when they announced the Kit Kat rollout was beginning a bit ahead of schedule. We weren't expecting Android 4.4 to arrive until sometime in January, however Motorola announced the rollout was underway as of December 19th. And nicely, that meant Android 4.4.2 as opposed to 4.4. The catch is, we suspect many have yet to receive the update.

Sony Z Ultra GPe getting a bug fixing Android 4.4.2 update

The two newest Google Play edition devices are getting an update. The update is bringing them from Android 4.4 to 4.4.2 and while it was nice to see the update so quickly on the LG G Pad 8.3 tablet, it seems those carrying a Sony Z Ultra may find it a bit nicer. You see, not only is this update bumping your version of Android on the Z Ultra, but it is also taking care of the recently discovered bugs.

LG G Pad 8.3 Google Play edition tablet getting Android 4.4.2

The LG G Pad 8.3 became the first tablet in the Google Play edition device lineup last week and it looks like this device is living up to the GPe name. By that, we mean updates that tend to arrive much quicker as compared to a regular carrier or manufacturer branded device. The tablet arrived last week with Android 4.4 and we are already seeing the over-the-air arrival of Android 4.4.2.
