Android 4.1 Jelly Bean would actually come to the Nexus S, it seems that Google has begun the roll out. Unfortunately, for the moment it seems that only some carriers are getting the update, so some Nexus S owners may be left waiting for a while. In any case, Google announced via the Nexus Twitter account today that the update roll out has started, so at least we know that it's underway.
Jelly Bean with tons and tons of changes. We mentioned a few in the announcement post linked to below, but they keep unveiling new awesome features you'll want to hear about. From smooth as "butter" UI improvements, offline dictation, and some sweet improvements to widgets.
Jelly Bean is a go, and Google has just added it to the Googleplex building 44 lawn as expected. Doesn't it look wonderful?
Galaxy S III here in the US. T-Mobile and AT&T both unleashed the flagship smartphone into the wild, although only in limited supply, and the masses can now enjoy Samsung's latest creation. Next week however will be all about Google I/O. By the end of next week we'll hopefully be talking about Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and beyond.
Jelly Bean will be the next iteration of Android. We'll probably know for sure come next week at Google IO but lets look at the details.
Rightware's Power Board has posted a benchmark result for a previously unknown device going by the name "Google Asus Nexus 7". Based on the specifications outed - an NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor and a 720p resolution - this looks like it very well could be the much-rumored and long-awaited Nexus Tablet. The benchmark was run only once, but the brand in particular - simply listed as "Google" - is very promising.
