Asus packs Android and Windows 8 into Transformer hybrid

This week Asus pulled the wraps off the new device that has two different operating systems in one unit. The product is called the Asus Transformer AiO P1801 PC/tablet hybrid. The machine is set to officially launch on April 12 and is a bit of the tablet in PC hybrid.

Motorola rolls-out new ‘Home For Upgrades’ support page

While Motorola may not be perfect in terms of how fast they are able to roll-out an Android update, they have always been pretty good at providing status updates. The company has long had a support page on their site. More important, that page has seen frequent updates. The issue had always been in the discovery though -- you see, the page generally consisted of one long list with lots of names and model numbers.

LG readying Jelly Bean for the Optimus 4X HD, L9 and L7 smartphones

LG recently began teasing in advance of Mobile World Congress and while we wait to see what they have planned for the show, it looks like they have also started teasing some current device owners with an update. Specifically, teasing those with an Optimus 4X HD, Optimus L9 and Optimus L7 with Jelly Bean. The details are still at a minimum, however if you happen to be carrying any of those three devices -- an update is in the works.

Jelly Bean brought a nice new flavor for Android users in 2012

Android seems to have finally gained some traction this year. And before anyone flames based on that, yes, Android has had traction, however things seem to have really shifted this year. It feels like Android has really stepped up. This of course comes at least in part as a result of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, which was released back in June during the I/O conference. This year also marked a time when we began seeing some positive reviews coming from those who previously bashed Android.

Motorola Jelly Bean updates will continue in Q1 2013

Motorola has been pretty good about keeping users up to date in terms of which devices were being upgraded and when those updates could be expected to begin rolling out. Granted, that is not to say they have been the fastest to update, but more that they have offered a regularly updated "Software Upgrade News" page.
