NVIDIA roadmap leaks, Kal-El and more coming soon

NVIDIA and their Tegra 2 superchip for phones and tablets has been on a roll lately, with all the recent talk about quad-cores and Kal-El things are about to get even better this holiday season. Over the weekend a leaked roadmap showing a few us NVIDIA's upcoming plans and chips may have leaked and it shows us plans up to 2013. One interesting thing I noticed is Kal-El+ on the chart for 2012.

Samsung Galaxy S II for T-Mobile sporting different dual-core processor

While all variants of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S II are running on a 1.2 Ghz dual-core processor made in house by Samsung known as the Exynos SOC. New details have now confirmed what was previously just a rumor that the T-Mobile version will in fact be running with a different processor from the rest of the pack.

HTC Runnymede press shot leaks, looks pretty in white

Back in August we received our first details regarding the HTC Runnymede that were later confirmed by a spec sheet that also showed the handset coming in white. Now we have our first official press shot of the upcoming 4.7" Android smartphone packing those music notes from Beats Audio. More details after the break.

LG Univa will be the LG Optimus Hub

The recently seen The LG Univa E510 that has leaked a few times including some recent press shots and then pictured in the wild today received a name and a bit more details. It will be known as the LG Optimus Hub and for starters will be headed to Italy and eventually making the rounds elsewhere.

Samsung Epic 4G Touch Pre-Orders from Walmart for $99

The much awaited launch in the U.S for the Samsung Galaxy S II is just a week or so away with the Epic 4G Touch headed to the now network with 4G WiMAX on board. The Samsung Galaxy S II Epic 4G Touch (yes that is the full name) was officially announced back on August 30th, and said to be coming September 16th for just $199. Walmart is aiming to get a piece and have opened pre-orders.

Android “Jelly Bean” up next after Ice Cream Sandwich

We have heard all sorts of crazy names for our favorite green robot OS and it appears we now have some official details about the next version. According to what we are hearing are "trusted" sources the next version of Android will in fact be called "Jelly Bean". This will follow Ice Cream Sandwich which is the next version of Android coming shortly.

Motorola Droid 3 Update “Soak Test” Started, Brings tons of bug fixes

Earlier in the week we mentioned the Droid 3 was set to receive an OTA update starting sometime soon. Now Verizon has made it official and posted up the details and support docs for us over at Verizon Support. According to information the Droid 3 OTA update is in the "soak test" stage and will be ready soon.

Netflix for Android updated to support all Android 2.2 and 2.3 devices

Netflix for Android was just updated in the Android market and this has been a long time coming if you ask me. Apparently Netflix has finally got around to adding support for not some but ALL Android 2.2 and 2.3 devices. Back in May it was updated with like 5 new phones supported and many weren't impressed then in June Netflix added Gingerbread support.
