Android 2.3 (Gingerbread)

BLU Studio 5.3-inch Android 2.3 smartphone available now for $260

For those that love the thought of a 5.3" Android smartphone like the Samsung Galaxy Note but don't want to wait for it to hit AT&T or pay the outrageous price the international version is selling for, BLU Studio has you covered. Available now is their Note-challenging 5.3" Android 2.3 Gingerbread powered smartphone with a huge 2,500 mAh battery. The rest of the specs might not match the Note -- but the price doesn't either.

Lenovo Racer-A Intel Midfield hands-on

Here at ShowStoppers CES 2012, Intel showed off the new Lenovo Racer-A smartphone making use of Intel's Midfield chip. Until now, we haven't seen Intel's processor in a production smartphone. It is currently clocked at 1.6GHz running Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). This particular phone is running over AT&T bands - absent of 4G LTE.

Samsung Replenish updates to Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) today

The Samsung Replenish isn't the fastest Android device, but it sure is the most environmentally (and economically) friendly device on The "Now" Network's lineup. Though Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) was already released, it is highly unlikely devices with hardware limitations such as this will ever see an update. Fortunately, the Replenish has already started receiving an update from Android 2.2 (Froyo) to Android 2.3 (Gingerbread).

Meizu MX hits China, masses line up at local stores

The Meizu MX finally launched today in China and Hong Kong to great fanfare. Pre orders have been offered and strongly encouraged since December 15th in an effort to quell the very large crowds that waited to buy a M9 last year. Stores notified customers that had pre-ordered the phone, last month, to come in and pick them up. Crowds appeared outside the stores today nonetheless, though not as large in number as last year.

GADMEI 8″ glasses-free 3D tablet can be yours for $199

First off let me start by saying I'm still not really sold on this mobile 3D technology even though I did enjoy reviewing the HTC EVO 3D. What we have for you today is really interesting though because it has some impressive specs on a full HD 8" 1280 x 800 resolution display all rocking glasses-free 3D. The downside is only Android 2.3 Gingerbread on board but I'm sure a few XDA developers could change that. Check out the full specs, pictures, and video below.

Sony Ericsson XPERIA Arc HD: Spyshot

The Sony Ericsson XPERIA Arc HD has surfaced again today in a quick spyshot from what seems to be Hong Kong. We saw just yesterday a leaked press image of the device, and most noticeable is the glowing ring that paths around the bottom. The softkeys are definitely there, but the glow is probably just for looks - and that's fine by me. From this new image, it's safe to say the Arc HD will come in both black and white models.
