They have the Samsung Galaxy Player 4 & 5 both en route. The two models are named for screen size, 4" and 5". News has leaked that they are on the way to the U.S market and will be up for sale soon, as in "Spring".

Samsung Epic 4G gets Cyanogen Mod

XDA Developers have turned their sites on the Samsung Epic 4G and have released CynogenMod 7 for the Sprint 4G phone. The Gingerbread Mod is still in Alpha release and XDA developers Dameon87, nullghost, and DevinXtreme warn that the Mod is not fully functional. Users who choose to flash the ROM to their Epic 4G are advised that they will likely be able to make calls, send SMS text messages and data via bluetooth and WiFi, but that there are a few other things that aren't working just yet. Users will not be able to use GPS or the Epic's 5MP camera just yet. And hardware acceleration in the UI and in Video is still being worked on so it's out of the mix as well. But hey, it's small price to pay to get rid of TouchWiz, isn't it?

Remember that phone that was originally made by a group called "Danger" by it's first name "Danger Hiptop." That was way back in 2002 (ancient history!) Danger was picked up by Microsoft, and long story short, in 2009, Microsoft suffered an outage that screwed up basically ever Sidekick user across the USA as well as parts of the UK. There was a long period of no Sidekicks during 2009, then on July 2nd, 2010, a date that will live in infamy, the Sidekick was discontinued. HTC Thunderbolt now available according to Verizon Flyer

One tease after another the HTC Thunderbolt just can't stay out of the news. It's been delayed time and time again, or has it. Technically it has not because it wasn't actually ever given a set date. The February date many threw around was because that was posted on a 30ft screen at CES2011. Today we have an entire next level of Seriously Verizon, with ads coming in the mail to customers saying "Now Available".

MIUI Developers Weather Beta 1 Free for all

The Android developers better known as MIUI have released a beautiful Weather Widget pack today. Called the Weather Beta 1. It is a nice blend of the Sense UI weather widget, Beautiful Widgets (my personal favorite) and a little iOS all wrapped into one. Although iOS is not cool enough to get widgets, MIUI ROM's do have a certain iOS look to them, and so does the settings for the widget, but that is another story.

This isn't exactly an iPad killer by any stretch of the imagination, but it is interesting to see the different iterations of tablets coming out on this 2011 wave to be sure. This tablet has a 1024 x 600 pixel resolution on it's multi-touch display and a sassy ARM Corex A9 dual-core processor running the engine.
