Android 2.2 Coming To Samsung Galaxy S Devices “As Soon As Possible”

It's well known that Samsung USA hasn't been exactly highly focused on bringing Android 2.2 to it's range of Galaxy S devices. Users in the US have been waiting for many months, even through other countries receiving the update. Good news, though, Samsung has just tweeted that the Android 2.2 update will be coming "as soon as possible."

Samsung i5510 Coming to Australia via Telstra

According to some sources close to the matter, Telstra will be the carrier launching the Samsung i5510 in Australia. This mid-range Android smart phone will be a perfect device for those that desire a phone with a keyboard for easy text messaging.

Dell Venue running Android OS

The Dell Venue listed on Dell’s India website will be sold operating Android 2.2. Other specs include a 1 GHz processor, 8 MP camera, and a 4.1-in AMOLED capacitive multi-touch display. Like the other devices with Android 2.2, Adobe Flash 10.1 will be included enabling users to take full advantage of websites implementing Adobe Flash.

Dell Venue Released in Hong Kong

The Dell Venue was just launched in Hong Kong slightly ahead of its launch in South Korea, which is still expected later this month. Looking very similar to the Venue Pro, minus the curved back design and slide-out keyboard, the Venue will feature a 4.1 AMOLED display with a resolution of 800 x 480.

Dell Streak Price Lowered to $399, Available in January

Good news for everyone planning on purchasing the Dell Streak within the next couple months, Dell has cut the price a whole $180. Now at a $399 price tag, the device, shipping with 16GB storage and Android 1.6 (Android 2.2 available OTA upon first boot), is even a more attractive for users looking for a decent Android based tablet.
