Samsung DoubleTime Review
The flexibility of Android and the continuing march of mobile technology progress are making Android available on hardware and price points that would have seemed impossible just a couple of years ago. The latest phone to skirt the line between smartphones and featurephones is the Samsung DoubleTime, a QWERTY phone with a novel hinged and double-screen design. For $50 on a new two-year contract it's definitely on the low end of AT&T's smartphone lineup, but can it stand up on its own? Let's find out.

2.3 Gingerbread now on almost 40% of Android devices
Google announced the latest software breakdown for Android today (what, you didn't think there was only one announcement going on, did you?) and the numbers are promising. 38.7% of devices running Android are using version 2.3, "Gingerbread", the latest smartphone version officially supported by Google. For what's probably the first time this year, less than half of the Android userbase is running on Froyo.

Qualcomm Releases Vellamo Benchmark Aimed at Mobile Browser Performance [Hands-On]
We all love benchmarks right? We get a shiny new smartphone or tablet and one of the first things we do is run a few benchmarks for comparison, I do at least. I'm always trying new things and tweaking CPU speeds trying for a high score. Qualcomm has developed a new benchmark system aiming for something entirely different. Its goal is testing mobile web browser performance across the Android platform.

LG Optimus Slider Hits the FCC
We have just seen a render of what appears to be the LG Optimus Slider and we don't know much about it yet although it just hit the FCC. This slider could feature a QWERTY keyboard but it also might be the dual-screen LG Slider we saw here just without the T-Mobile radios.

Samsung Infuse 4G headed to Rogers and its running 2.3 Gingerbread
The Samsung Infuse 4G was recently released at an event in NYC back in May and we were there for some hands-on. If you don't recall the Infuse 4G is a Galaxy S device featuring a monster 4.5" AMOLED Plus display. So basically the screen not only looks amazing but its also huge. This is the largest screen to have a Samsung Super AMOLED Plus display and it was launched on AT&T with a 1.2 Ghz CPU and Android 2.2 FroYo. New information is showing the Infuse 4G launching on Rogers will a little surprise.
