Motorola Defy FREE at T-Mobile til Thursday

For those of you that seem to always drop your phone, or spill water on it then the Motorola Defy is for you. It is about as rugged and strong as a phone comes. So if you've broke a phone recently, or just need a good deal. The Motorola Defy is FREE on T-Mobile right now with a new 2-Year Contract of course.

HTC Desire to get Gingerbread sooner rather than later

Back in February, we reported that HTC was bringing Gingerbread to their HTC Desire line in the second quarter. Well it looks like they're ahead of schedule, at least in Europe, because a representative from ThreeUK has tweeted that they've begun testing Gingerbread today for the HTC Desire and should have it would at the end of the month or early next. That could make a sunny Spring for Brits who were looking to wait until at least summer for their gingy goodness. The update also looks to be coming to Desire owners in Sweden around the same time.

HTC ThunderBolt Outsells iPhone 4 at Verizon

So you were wondering if it was wise to keep your launch-day ThunderBolt and you decided to hang on to it, yes? You though it was probably the best phone you'd ever owned in your entire life, and you wanted to be awesome, just like the thousands of other Verizon customers across the USA, right? Turns out you're VERY MUCH not alone in that, and you're beating the crap out of Apple while you're at it. That's right, HTC ThunderBolt is outselling the iPhone.

LG Optimus Big Revealed – 4.3″ NOVA Display in Tow

For those of you paying rather close attention, you'll remember back a few months ago when we showed you the LG Optimus Black, an Android handset that employed a brand new NOVA display. That phone had a 4-inch screen, was said to be carrying Android 2.2 Froyo, and will be coming in at 6mm at its thinnest point. What we've got here is a big brother to that, codename Optimus Big, a 4.3" monster that'll be coming out on an LG U+ carrier in Korea starting in April 2011. Will it be coming to the states? We hope so!

LG Optimus V Hands-On and Unboxing [SUPER CUTE!]

Take a peek at this, an Android phone that's basically free, runs Android 2.2.1, and wont take up more than a tiny wallet's worth of space in your pocket. This is the LG Optimus V, the other-toned relative of the LG Optimus U which we've already taken a look at a few months ago. This phone is surprisingly similar, it's hardware essentially exactly the same save for the coloring (this one's black where that one's blue,) with a spiffy new box made to be sold off the shelves in stores all day long.

Sprint Kyocera Echo Presented at CTIA 2011 in an Odd Display [VIDEO]

Let's talk for a moment about the Kyocera Echo that'll be carried by Sprint in the very near future. Since you've more than likely seen this phone before, and you'll certainly seen it explained at great length again by yours truly when a review model becomes available, I thought we'd take a little bit of a non-traditional approach to this situation by filming from the perspective of someone being presented this device at CTIA 2011.

Sprint Kyocera Echo Startup Sequence [EXCLUSIVE]

Whilst having another look at the Kyocera Echo at the Kyocera booth during CTIA 2011, we happened upon a unit that was switched off. Deciding to check to see if anything magical would happen if we switched the device on while filming, we hit the on button with our camera rolling. As it happens, it does indeed have a unique startup sequence, and now in this video you're going to get to see it! Apologies in advance for the undeniably horribly terribly screen full of fingermarks! Take it as a sign that a lot of people are pumped up about this phone.

HTC Thunderbolt getting Gingerbread by Summer

A frustrated HTC Thunderbolt customer trying to troubleshoot an compatibility issue with Bluetooth nearly forgot all his troubles this week. In an email reply, HTC reps responded that the Thunderbolt will be getting an update in the second quarter of the 2011 that while not addressing the Bluetooth issue, will bring Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) to the 4G handset. Of course, that's HTCs time table. It will also have to clear Verizon before a roll out will commence, but the list of improvements look to really boost what is already a killer Android handset.

Kyocera Echo available for preorder through Sprint

With the new Kyocera Echo Dual Screen Android device coming April 17th to Sprint, the Now Network has set up a reservation and preorder site to purchase this odd, yet entertaining smartphone. The price at pre-order is $199.99 after a $100 instant rebate and requires a new line activation (or eligible upgrade) on a two year contract. Users can also get the Echo with an Everything plan with Data, or premium data add-on and a two year deal. And the site isn't just a reservation site either, as Sprint is getting playful with a "challenge to a dual," and a gunslinger shooting at you and getting you to play the Bottle Bustin' Bandits game. In the game, users can also enter to win an Echo through the Duel for a Dual Sweepstakes.
