Yes you read the title right, more details on T-Mobile’s "Project Emerald" are starting to leak. Although, none of the recent information has been confirmed by T-Mobile, this bit of information comes from a few very reliable sources. Tmonews (which is usually dead on regarding T-Mobile stories) and Phonedog are reporting that the device that’s going to head project emerald is the “Sidekick Twist”.

Samsung Acclaim for US Cellular

Last week US Cellular announced the not only will they be carrying the HTC Desire but will offer a Samsung Android as well. At the time there was no picture of the device only a few specs. These specs included a full QWERTY keyboard, Android 2.1 and a 3.2-inch HGVA screen. Well, this phone looks like it has most of those requirements.

Look like Vodafone will be the first company in the world to release the Samsung Galaxy S. although you can’t preorder now, this handset has been moved to the “coming soon” on Vodafone’s website. But, you can register to receive updates and availability, when it’s ready for preorder you will be notified first.

Nexus One Running 450% Faster Thanks to Froyo (Android 2.2)?

The guys over at AndroidPolice claim to have a Nexus One running Android 2.2. They conducted a few performance tests on the device and the result was astounding. The Nexus One will run up to 450% faster than it does on 2.1. When you take into account that the Nexus One already could be the fastest phone on the market now, more than quadruple the speed and you will have a true “Super phone” on your hands. If this is true, Google use of that term will be cemented after the release of Froyo.

myTouch 3G Will Get 2.1

According to techland, they had a meeting with Andrew Sherrard, the VP of Production Innovation for T-Mobile and he confirmed that the mytouch 3G will indeed receive the Android 2.1 update. Its currently being tested all we have to do now is wait for the OTA.

Verizon’s Droid Eris Getting 2.1 Tomorrow?

According to an internal memo that was leaked to Mobilecrunch, the Droid Eris will receive its update to Android 2.1 tomorrow. Is this a fact, I would say no but it could happen. If this is true the Droid Eris will join the Nexus One and the Droid as the only 2.1 devices in the US.

Remember this square shaped ugly little fellow? Yes, it’s real and it’s coming soon. The original story behind the leaked photo of this device had us all calling Photoshop. Turns out this are an actual device so maybe the story was real. If so there may be one less employee in the Motorola camp.

The Samsung Galaxy A is a sexy device. It looks better on the video than it does in pictures. And it’s a pretty quick device even though its 1GHZ processor is under clocked to 768. It gets unboxed kind of fast but you get the point.

U.S. Cellular confirms Samsung Acclaim
