KDDI creates Android app that measures user’s brainwaves with a headset

KDDI R&D laboratories in Japan has created integration between an Android smartphone and neural science that uses a headband with sensors to monitor brainwaves. The idea is that the app will allow the user to measure their concentration during things like gaming and meditation. The headband has small sensors inside that detect brain neural activity.

AndyPad and AndyPad Pro get brief hands-on treatment

Paul over at got to spend a bit of time playing hands-on with the new AndyPad and AndyPad Pro. The standard AndyPad will land for £129 and the AndyPad Pro is pegged at £169. Both of those prices include shipping. We already know the hardware details on the Android tablets with each getting Rock Chip 1.2Ghz processors, 512MB of RAM, and mini HDMI outputs along with microUSB and 3.5mm headphone ports.

DROID X2 set for May 26 launch

We mentioned just yesterday that the DROID X2 dummy devices were turning up hinting at a launch soon. The launch now has a specific day for us to look forward to. The smartphone will land on May 26, almost exactly two weeks from today. This smartphone was originally expected to land today, but was delayed. This will be the first dual-core Tegra 2 Android smartphone on the Verizon network.

Samsung Reveals SENS-240 and Hybrid Tablet Navigation Tablet

Samsung has a large line of Android smartphones and tablets that have turned out to be quite popular with Android users. The company has unveiled a new product today called the Hybrid Tablet with the SENS-240. The devices are made to work in coordination with one of the Samsung Android smartphones or tablets. The SENS-240 is a car navigation system that can connect to a normal phone using Bluetooth.
