Honeycomb Tablets might be getting delayed by OEMS

Yes you read that right, a report by DigiTimes has came out mentioning that some OEMs may actually be delaying the release of their Android 3.0 Honeycomb Tablets. I'm not sure I believe that, why hold back such amazing devices. Sure Android 3.0 has a few small issues (it is brand new of course) as in the first tablet OS built by Google. It will take time to mature, just like a fine wine. Hopefully not that long of course.

Motorola Xoom heads to Europe

Motorola has announced at MWC 2011 that the Xoom tablet that has been anticipated in the US will be heading to Europe as well. The tablet will hit Europe starting in Q2 2011 and will run Android 3.0 Honeycomb. The tablet was first spied at CES 2011. The Xoom is packed with features that should add up to a very powerful tablet.

ASRock to enter Tablet market with Android offerings

ASRock is a tech firm that has been around for a while in the computer hardware market. The company makes some interesting mainboards for computer geeks that like to roll their own systems. DigiTimes reports that ASRock is set to enter the tablet PC market in Q2 2011. The entry will come with lots of help from Pegatron Technology, the parent company of ASRock.

Motorola Xoom may land as early as February

Any tech firm knows that there are some distinct advantages to be first to market in a new category or running a new and important OS or feature. The iPad certainly reaped the benefits of being the first tablet to the market and is still riding that wave.
