Apple and Amazon “app store” trademark talks scheduled for March 21
Back in early January we saw an update for the case that had Apple going after Amazon for the use of the term app store. At that time US District Judge Phyllis Hamilton ruled that there was no false advertising on the part of Amazon. Simply put, the judge dismissed the false advertising claim, however it left open the trademark claim.

In-app purchases are a great way for app developers to make money. Amazon knows this, and they are making it easier for developers to implement in-app purchases into their apps on the Amazon App Store. They are also giving developers the ability to implement GameCircle into apps easier. This should help keep Amazon's features equal to other app stores out there.

If you've been waiting to get yours, you shall not have to wait much longer, as it should be in your hands within the next couple of days. If you haven't ordered one, you can do so on Amazon. However, if you are waiting for the Kindle Fire HD 8.9-inch with 4G, you are going to have to wait until next week.

That's right, Angry Birds Star Wars is here, and you can grab it right this minute. As is usually the case, we expect this to shoot to the top of Google Play quickly, as it seems like Rovio has the Midas touch for mobile games.

Amazon has just pushed a new app to Google Play and its own app store that allows users take advantage of its Cloud Drive from an Android device. Amazon intends for this app to be a place where users can easily upload and share photos. As you would expect, Cloud Drive has been integrated in Kindle Fire HDs already, but now, owners of other Android devices can use it as a place to store their photos in the cloud.
