That one was expected since Nokia phones are known to run Windows Phone. A few months later, we heard another rumor that it may be mulling over an Android future. Well, the company did try Android by releasing the several Android devices like the N1 tablet and X2 smartphone.

Alcatel launches Hero 2+ phablet, Cyanogen OS inside

Still at the Mobile World Congress, Alcatel is hyping its new partnership with Cyanogen, Inc. with the launch of the Hero 2+ phablet, a 6-inch device that features Cyanogen’s version of the Android OS as the main software. The device will be targeted at the North American market and Alcatel will be selling the phablet off-contract and unlocked.

Alcatel has rolled out a pair of new Pixi 3 devices at MWC 2015 this week. The new devices include the Pixi 3 phablet and the Pixi 3 tablet. Alcatel OneTouch to sell unlocked devices through new e-commerce site
