Alcatel intros new ONETOUCH POP phones, GO Play, and GO Watch

Alcatel has prepared a lot of new products for the whole Android community at this year's IFA in Berlin. Actually, the French company has been revealing a number of phones under the Onetouch series and expect more in the coming months. Ready to shine in the Onetouch POP family are two new phones called the POP STAR and POP UP. A brand new line has also been introduced: the GO family that includes the GO PLAY and the GO WATCH.

Alcatel, Cyanogen’s Hero 2+ project gets scrapped in favor of future product

Device manufacturer Alcatel made the news at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona back in March that it was teaming up with software developer Cyanogen for the Alcatel OneTouch Hero 2+ phablet. It was supposed to be a next gen phablet with Cyanogen software running the show. We’ve just received news that both Alcatel and Cyanogen have announced the termination of this project in favor of a future product.

T-Mobile outs new Alcatel Onetouch POP Astro

Alcatel has just released a new addition to its Onetouch line: the POP Astro. Alcatel has teamed up with T-Mobile to bring the latest affordable LTE smartphone in the US, joining the numerous Alcatel devices available from the mobile carrier. The Alcatel Onetouch POP Astro is ready for purchase without any downpayment but with a $6.24 monthly fee on a two-year contract. Retail price is $149.76 which makes this unit very budget-friendly but still with good quality.

Alcatel OneTouch to sell unlocked devices through new e-commerce site

For the first time in North America, Alcatel OneTouch is opening an e-commerce channel where users will be able to purchase unlocked smartphones, tablets and accessories from the OEM. They previously launched a similar online channel in Europe last November 2014 and now it's the turn of US residents (and later on, Canada) to be able to buy their preferred device at a more affordable price and not tied down with any carrier (if that is something they would prefer).
