Android Community 101: What is Flash Builder? (4.5)
Behold the great conquerer of world, the great unifier that works better than a big bar of chocolate, or so they're hoping. This is Flash Builder 4.5, a version of the app to build apps that'll soon create standalone Flex AIR apps that'll work on Android, Blackberry, and Apple's iOS, all inside the same framework! What this means, if it's adopted by enough individuals, is that developers are about to have a whole heck of a lot easier time creating cross-platform moneymakers to turn awesome experiences into cash.

Adobe Gets Official with Flash Update Announcement for Honeycomb
Adobe has announced that Flash Player 10.2 will be available for download through the Android Market starting March 18th. Initially designed for Honeycomb devices, this beta release is also available as a general availability (GA) release for Android handsets using Android 2.2 (Froyo) and 2.3 (Gingerbread) as well. All Honeycomb tablets need to have Google's 3.0.1 system update as well. It will be an automatic update in conjunction with Google's first system update for Honeycomb, but Froyo and Gingerbread users will have to go out and get it when it comes on the 18th.

Motorola XOOM won’t get Flash support until Spring 2011
The Motorola XOOM may be shaping up to be the first Android 3.0 Honeycomb tablet to reach the market, but it won't be bringing all of its features from the start. According to a tiny disclaimer at the bottom of Verizon's listing for the slate, the XOOM won't have Adobe Flash support until Spring 2011. Adobe had already said that it was working on Flash Player 10.2 for Honeycomb, so it seems that Android 3.0 won't launch with Flash Player 10.1 as is available for current Android smartphones. Considering Flash support is an oft-cited advantage of Android over iOS on the iPad, that decision could well come back to haunt Adobe, Google and OEMs. [vms 3b03ae6d3f8540cd6362] [via Engadget]

Adobe: Flash 10.2 coming to Android
Adobe announced at Mobile World Conference in Barcelona today that source code for Adobe Flash 10.2 has been released to tier one developers and should make it's way to Android smartphones and tablets within the next few weeks.  That's moving at a pretty fast pace considering that 10.2 had only been launched on Windows and Mac nearly at the same time.  Adobe representatives also said that Android smartphones and tablets using dual-core processors will see the greatest benefit including HD video at 30 frames per second.
