Cincinnati Bell Blaze Has Been Rooted!!

The Cincinnati Bell Blaze has been rooted by AC’s own SeanFromIT. This is a great accomplishment given the fact that he had little to no help in the project. The Blaze is a regional carrier Android device and up until now it had almost no support by the dev community. Now that it’s rooted, custom ROM’s and recover images should follow. Fring is first to bring video calling to Android

With the upcoming release of the HTC EVO 4G, Samsung Galaxy S and Dell Streak, the need for video calling software will increase drastically. Yes, most of these devices will come with preloaded software that can handle this but this is Android and there always room for choice. Fring will be the first to offer video calling software to Android and it is capable of a lot more than just that.

Android running on the iPhone 3G – Video

About a month ago we got our first glimpse of Android running on an iPhone 2G. Although that was a big accomplishment, the 2G is dated even when compared to the first generation Android devices. Now Android has been ported to the 3G.

There are 38,000 Apps in The Android Market

This is a great accomplishment for Android. The market is growing faster than most of us anticipated. This was revealed during this afternoon's Q1 earnings press conference, Jeff Huber who is  Google's senior VP of engineering. Also, Google views the Nexus One as a “profitable business” even though most analyst feel it didn’t sell enough units overall.
